Maggie Stapleton brings a lifelong passion for classical music and a diverse career in broadcasting to promoting the events and milestones of musicians and performing artists. Based in New York City, she is the Publicity Manager at Jensen Artists, where she has run successful campaigns for performances, tours, album releases, and multi-disciplinary collaborations for a talented roster of artists. Previously, Maggie was the Assistant Station Manager at Classical KING FM 98.1 in Seattle where she launched and cultivated Second Inversion, a 24/7 online streaming project dedicated to contemporary classical music. Through this work, Maggie developed a keen interest in the accessibility and awareness of new music and enjoys developing and sharing stories about the music of living composers.
Maggie has spoken on panels at conferences and universities about her projects, pursuits, and career path, and is currently on the Community Advisory Board of New York Public Radio. She holds B.M. (Furman University) and M.M. (University of Washington) degrees in flute performance, and performed regularly with the Puget Sound Symphony Orchestra, Seattle Metropolitan Chamber Orchestra, and Seattle Rock Orchestra while living in the Northwest.
