American composer Steve Reich is hailed for his work as a pioneer of the minimalist music movement. This monumental performance – a single work – features Reich’s rarely staged Music for Eighteen Musicians in a wander-through concert experience. For this momentous occasion, a cast of vocalists, percussionists, pianists, and chamber musicians gather from around the globe in the Northwest.
By popular demand, this special late-night repeat performance is enhanced with by intimate lighting and a more casual format. You choose how to listen: snag a chair, bring pillows, walk around, be yourself! As always, we’ll have the free bar open for drinks and snacks all night.
A rare performance, this evening consists solely of Steve Reich's Music for 18 Musicians, which lasts approximately 75-90 minutes.
