Are donations tax-deductible?
Yes! Emerald City Music is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and a registered member of the Washington State Charities program. All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Can I donate offline?
Of course! We’re pretty old-school too. You can send a check to our mailing address (P.O. Box 31917, Seattle, WA 98103). You can also donate from your IRA, stock account, or in-kind donations by contacting Andrew Goldstein, Interim Executive Director: firstname.lastname@example.org
How can I get recognized for my gift?
We recognize each and every gift with our heartfelt thanks and a letter for tax records. Donations of $500 and more are recognized in printed materials. Donations of $1,000 and more are recognized in our season brochure. Donations of $2,500 and more have opportunities for being named a sponsor of a performance.
Where does my support go?
Every donation supports making more music! Our biggest expenses as an organization are artists, which means that your funds significantly support creating more art. Approximately 15% of our annual budget affords the staff that makes the magic happen year-round.
When do you send tax receipts?
When you give online, a confirmation email is automatically sent to your inbox. Keep this for your records! We also send hardcopy letters within four weeks of your gift, and in January to summarize your total year of giving!
How can I claim donor benefits?
For tangible benefits like ECM merchandise, please pickup your benefits at the next concert you attend! If this is not possible, we can arrange shipping by emailing: email@example.com. For event-based benefits like dinners or coffee, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange a date; we can’t wait to chat with you! For donor parties, we send out invites a few times during the year to donors who have given $500 or more.
If you have questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to connect with Executive Director Andrew Goldstein: email@example.com, (206) 250-5510.
